Are pets or smoking allowed in your facility?
No, in order to provide a comfortable atmosphere to all our guests, we do not allow pets or smoking at our retreat home.
Do you cater events at your facility?
We do not currently offer catering services. However, we do have the names of a few local catering companies that would be glad to cater your event/retreat. While we can provide a list of names this service is subject to their availability, pricing, and offerings.
Do you allow day rentals or evening rentals?
We do allow limited availability for smaller events, please contact us directly for availability and pricing.
Can retreat guests bring alcoholic beverages?
Yes, there are wine glasses, bottle openers, and a blender available for use.
Where do retreat guests park?
Parking is off Stewart Street. There is a concrete driveway by the garage that retreat guests can use for loading and unloading their vehicles. Once all guests arrive they can park 4-5 vehicles on the driveway, there is also access to parking in the backyard slightly down Steward Street past the main driveway. The city of Waupaca does not allow overnight parking on the street, we will be adding a gravel lot in the backyard. Entrance to the house is from the garage side of the building.
Do retreat guests have to clean?
All dishes need to be cleaned and the kitchen in the state it was upon arrival. Clean dishes in the dishwasher are acceptable. All food must be removed from the property. If the kitchen has dirty dishes or food remaining, the group coordinator will be billed a cleaning fee.
Please empty small workstation trash cans into larger kitchen trash bin.
Does the retreat house have cable TV?
No, there is no cable TV. However, the TV has a Roku and can be connected to streaming services. If you log into your streaming service please be sure to remember to log out prior to departure.
What security is at the retreat house?
The entry door to the house is locked with a code that will be provided on the day of check-in. There are also security cameras located on the outside of the building to monitor the entrances. There are no cameras on the inside of the building.
What does a retreat house guest do if they mistakenly take or break a retreat house item?
We complete an inventory check prior to your arrival to make sure the retreat house is fully stocked for you. If we find that something is missing or broken, we will contact the group coordinator about the missing or broken items. It is the responsibility of the group to return the item (shipping paid by group) or they will be billed replacement value for the item.
